In my early 20’s I achieved a diploma in gym instruction and sports psychology. It was around the same time that I discovered the benefits of yoga. I was introduced to it by a friend and it didn’t take long until I was hooked! After just 2 beginners courses I was practicing 3 or 4 times each week and my practice continued to develop from there.

I began my first teacher training course in May 2005 with the Irish school of yoga where I received a YTTC qualification. In June 2007 I continued my training in the USA with an Intensive 200hrs Yoga Alliance certified course in vinyasaflow and hatha yoga. I complete an advanced 150 hrs training in India in November 2009. Since I began my yoga training I have complete numerous other courses including Pre and Post Natal Yoga and have practiced under many advanced teachers including Tim Feldmann and Manju Jois.

Yoga has become a part of my everyday life. I now have a daily practice which is ever changing!

Yoga is amazing, it doesn’t matter what age, fitness level or flexibility and strength you feel you have, there is a type of yoga out there for everyone from chair yoga to ashtanga. It will reward you with the most unbelievable benefits!

Find a class that is suitable for your level and give it a go. I guarantee that in a matter of weeks you will feel fantastic!
